Mutoh’s fourth generation of cutting plotters, the Ultima series. Offering the traditional quality of Mutoh drag-knife cutting plotters, the Ultima series have been developed for extreme ease-of-use. As a stand-alone cutting plotter, the Ultima can cut, plot designs onto paper or perform punching as required.
The Ultima series provides fast, easy, affordable, contour cutting of images with the added benefit of being able to cut standard vinyl signs while your images are printing, at cutting speeds of up to 39 inches per second.
The Ultima series consists of two models, the Ultima 850 and the Ultima 1400. The Ultima features a built-in laser-based optical sensor, which automatically detects registration marks on inkjet printed adhesive back vinyl, enabling the user to perform effortless contour cutting of pre-printed signs and decals. This is important since most vehicle and floor graphics must be laminated, the Ultima takes the guess work out of realigning the image for contour cutting after lamination.
Ultima cutters are equipped with adjustable grid rollers to allow for different media widths. Scraps can be accommodated to 4 inches wide. Maximum media/cut width is 33/24 inches for the Ultima 850 and 55/47 inches for the Ultima 1400. Each Ultima is equipped with a solid dsrag knife blade and can cut a variety of media up to 1 mm thick. In order to guarantee optimum cutting results with various materials, cutting force is adjustable from 20-450g. The Ultima friction feed grip rollers are precision matched during assembly, enabling accurate long-length tracking. Cutting speed is adjustable to 39 inches per second, with a maximum acceleration of 3G. The Ultima even has a convenient, detachable, 4x16 character LCD display for menu selection and media loading convenience.
All Ultima cutters feature Mutoh’s award winning motion control and reliability and include a stand, media collection basket, roll support system, Mutoh’s e-pos (electronic positioning) technology and a 1-year warranty. The Ultima cutters are PC and Mac compatible and come standard with an integrated USB interface for easy connectivity and fast, reliable data transport.

SC Pro Series: Multi-Purpose Cutting Plotters
Mutoh SC-PRO multi-purpose professional drag-knife cutter family for regular vinyl cutting. Integrating Mutoh’s EPOS™ technology for automatic contour cutting, the SC-PRO will also be a perfect team player with any wide-format printer up to 64” capable of printing on self-adhesive PVC.

Based on our legendary SC-series cutter family, the SC-PRO 1650 & SC-PRO 1400 can accommodate roll and sheet media up to a width of 1850 mm (72.83”) / 1600 mm (63.99”). Maximum cutting width is 1635 mm (64.37”) / 1400 mm (55.10”).
The machines are equipped with 4 repositionable grid rollers, allowing the use of different media widths. Off-cuts down to 200 mm (7.87”) can be accommodated. The SC-PRO can cut a broad range of sign making materials ranging from self-adhesive PVC to sandblast, up to a maximum thickness of 1 mm. Long-length tracking is guaranteed thanks to matched grid roller sets for each machine.
Cutting force is adjustable from 20 – 450 g to guarantee optimum cutting results with various materials. Cutting speed goes up to 1 m/s, with a maximum acceleration of 2.75 G.
